Mayuri Gonzalez
Mayuri Gonzalez
Mayuri Gonzalez is an integrative movement therapist and yoga and meditation teacher who began her own journey studying yoga, meditation, and mindfulness over 25 years ago when she was just 10 years old.

Mayuri focuses on the integration of breath, mudra, movement, and internal awareness to help her clients move without pain and reclaim an embodied relationship to their soma as a powerful resource to inner resilience. She is trained in vinyasa, chair, yin, prenatal, restorative, and gentle somatic yoga (Hannah Somatics) and tends to focus on more restorative, gentle, accessible pathways to practice. She encourages all people, no matter the physical challenges present, to try yoga because yoga has something to offer everyone!

A firm advocate of the healing powers of yoga and to support folks in harnessing the healing power of yoga to manage the collective trauma and loss experiences living in and through the pandemic, Mayuri began on a two-year 800-hour extensive yoga therapy training program with Inner Peace Yoga Therapy in 2020. She has both worked and studied extensively on somatics, chronic pain, cancer survivors, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, structural yoga therapy, sports injury, seniors, and addiction.

Through continuous personal transformation and deep connection with the heart, Mayuri hopes to share the limitless possibilities of yoga with all people no matter the condition or symptoms present. Offering a place to learn tools for wellness, each of her private therapeutic yoga sessions are tailored to the unique needs of her clients and use yoga practices including asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), guided relaxation, and meditation among others

Currently, she teaches 5 virtual classes weekly and works with organizations, senior centers, and private clients and serves as the School Yoga Project Director and Teacher Trainer for Little Flower Yoga (www.littlefloweryoga.com).
